6.5 Years
- You celebrated 100 Days in school. Grandma Price made Sam this jacket with 100 buttons sewed on it. Sam and Millie wore it in Kindergarten, but you did not want to wear it at all. I tried so hard to just have you wear it walking into class to show your teacher but you refused. I was able to take a picture of you wearing it and smiling to send to Grandma, but you shoved that jacket in your back pack and did not take it out all day. What a stinker.
- It's birthday season for all your siblings but you. It is always a bit hard for you to watch them get parties and open up presents. There has been a few sad moments, but mostly you are handling it well. You and Sam teamed up to give Millie the new Wings of Fire book, you teamed up with the girls to give Sam a leather kit, and you gave Maggie a sporty looking fanny/cross over bag.
- We got to do the Pinewood Derby this year. You wanted to do a K Pop Demon Hunters cars. Since the movie came out this year, there was no examples to go off of. We asked chatGPT to come up with an idea, but that idea was pretty complicated. With a lot of creativity and gluing printed off pictures, it turned out cute. Your friend Callie won the kid division so now you want to go to the Wilson's house next year to make yours.
- We started the renovations upstairs. While the big kids where at the church, we got markers out and colored all over the floors (They were going to be ripped out). You thought it was so fun.
- You read your first longer book all by yourself. You brought home a Babysitter Graphic Novel home from the library. I don't know how much you understood, but you read all day and the next morning you finished it. You were so proud of yourself. I think you caught the reading worm bug.
- Dad and Grandpa got to come to your class for Career Day. Dad shared what it was like to be a doctor and Grandpa talked about being a chemist and salesman. Grandpa did the elephant toothpaste experiment, which all of you loved. I feel so blessed that you get to have grandparents be part of your everyday life.
- As part of Career Day/Week, you put together a poster of a career you are interested in. I went through all the careers of your aunties and uncles. There are some really good ones. You choose Auntie Catherine and Uncle Joe's soda shop. We printed off the pictures and you wrote all the words. Sam was even so sweet to let you borrow his headset to wear so you could "dress up" like a soda shop owner.
